Community Roller Derby

We are currently developing programmes and applying for funding to bring roller derby into the communities in West Yorkshire, primarily Bradford and Calderdale.

Our goal is to work with existing community groups and engaging with schools and sport centres to create opportunities for people to try roller derby and get active on wheels!

We are currently building partnerships and meeting amazing people and we’ll let you know as soon as we have our programmes in place.

Let us know if you are part of the Bradford or Calderdale community or work in a local school and want to learn more about our get active and introduction to roller derby sessions.

What even is roller derby?

What even is roller derby?

Roller derby is a fast-paced team sport on wheels. Played on quad skates on an elliptical track, the goal is point scoring by one person from each team passing the other skaters on track. Teams work together to get their point scorer through the “pack” (group of skaters known as blockers) and to stop the opposing point scorer.

About ALL IN

About ALL IN

We aim to reduce the barriers to long term participation in roller derby by making this sport accessible and achievable for all.

By working with the community, we focus on supporting and inspiring young people and women who may face geographic, financial, cultural or other barriers to sport. We want everyone to be able to see themselves in roller derby.

We also support existing skaters of all levels to build and maintain skills and to phase their return following injury or training sabbatical with the end goal of lengthening average participation in sport.
